Vegapure® - for lowering cholesterol
Increased LDL-cholesterol leads to cholesterol deposits in the arteries. These deposits narrow the vessel and disturb the blood flow. Plant sterols compete with cholesterol for uptake in the gut. By inhibiting the absorption of cholesterol in the gut, plant sterols decrease the amount of cholesterol absorbed from the gut into the bloodstream. In conjunction with a healthy diet, this helps to lower levels of total cholesterol and “bad” LDL-cholesterol.
Vegapure® is the only plant sterol ester registered for official use in the EU for food supplementation, produced by global market leader BASF since decades. This formulation delivers 1.600 mg.
Based on a positive EFSA opinion, the authorized health claim “Plant sterols have been shown to lower / reduce blood cholesterol. High cholesterol is a risk factor in the development of coronary heart disease” can be applied.

Clinical data demonstrates that a daily magnesium supplement of 350 mg for 24 weeks in overweight adults reduced arterial stiffness.
Vitamin B1 - for heart health
Thiamine plays an important role in carbohydrate metabolism. The active form of this vitamin is thiamine pyrophosphate. Physiological effects include mediating energy metabolism in the support of heart function. The European Food Safety Authority agrees that thiamine contributes to a normal heart function.
